Tilly Johnson (she/her) (b.1998, North-West England) uses drawing, sound, body movements and sculpture as tools to express the body as a site of feedback. Opening up the navigational tensions of an external and internal dialogue feeding from themes subject to the human condition such as will or agency, sensory perception, somatic experience and absence.

Through addressing these themes from an embodied place of research, she delves into the maps, planes, fragments and folds of our bodies and externalises this through multiple tools telling the same story. Using the body as a site where the mediums meet, converge or resist one another, there is a continuous representation of balance and boundary throughout her work.
